I’m M. Kato, an author of MM Romance set in Japan.

I have started my writing journey when I was younger after I fell in love with the idea of creating new worlds and characters. It wasn’t until much later in life that I decided to publish. I love blending romance with other genres, and if you’re the same, you’ll enjoy my stories.

What to expect from my books?

I’m a big fan of mysteries along with everything supernatural, so I’m currently working on a mash of both. My ongoing series, TŌKYŌ MPD MYSTERIES, is a Paranormal Mystery Romance with dual points of view. It follows two homicide detectives, Teruo and Shinji, who work at the Tōkyō Metropolitan Police Department. Together, they investigate a series of murders, and become attracted to each other. The story started out as a “police procedural, but with ghosts.” Now, as I work on Book 4, the series has taken a life of its own and has become much more complex.

Both this series as well as all books that will follow it are meant to be read by mature readers because they contain spicy sex scenes--and if you like spicy scenes, you're in the right place! ( ͡♥ 3 ͡♥)

Future plans?

Tōkyō MPD Mysteries will end with Book 4. and I already have another series in mind. It’ll be a trilogy or a tetralogy. I’m not yet sure. I’ll reveal more details as I start working on it. What I can tell you is that it won't be a police procedural this time. Although the series will have its own mysteries, it will probably be an paranormal fantasy, but more info about the series will be revealed once I finish the current one.
